Physical Therapists (PTs) are health care professionals who are specially educated, trained and licensed. PTs main goals are to restore, maintain and promote optimal physical function in relation to the body’s movement and health. PTs provide services to people who have impairments, functional limitations, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. PTs evaluate each individual and develop a personal plan of care using treatment techniques to increase mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
Our goal is to help you obtain optimal quality of life in regards to movement and activity while we promote health, wellness, fitness and prevention of future injuries. (Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, 2nd edition, 2001)

SSI wants to be your provider of choice. Currently, the state law of South Carolina allows Physical Therapists to treat patients for thirty days without a physician’s referral. Simply call SSI and we will schedule your initial evaluation. From there, our therapists will design a plan of care specific to your needs and goals and determine how often you will need to attend Physical Therapy.
